I'm Jake—developer and director of CDS. I combine practical software development with project operations experience, so the systems I build account for the people, pressures and decisions around the work—not just the screen.

Understand the operation before designing the system.

My background spans civil and industrial project delivery across NSW and Victoria, from hands-on field work through to management.

That work has meant coordinating crews, subcontractors, stakeholders, documents, compliance, budgets and schedules—where clear information and follow-through matter.

I’ve worked inside that pressure, where there isn’t another five minutes to spare. It’s why I build systems that give time back instead of creating another task.

Software development had long been the other half of my work: building websites, databases and practical tools, then refining them against real operational needs.

CDS brings those disciplines together. I map the workflow, identify the real decision points and build the simplest useful system around them.

I work directly with clients from the first conversation through to delivery. That means practical recommendations, clear scope and one person accountable for understanding how the business operates. Security, maintainability and ease of use are treated as core requirements—not add-ons.
