A two-sided Australian marketplace that gives homeowners a clear path from job description to a verified tradie quote — and gives trade businesses a structured lead and booking workflow without the usual platform noise.
A two-sided marketplace and booking platform with separate account journeys, verification, job management and a clear commercial handoff from quote to booking confirmation.
Homeowners with a real job to get done and trade businesses looking for qualified, structured leads rather than a crowded bidding environment.
Build a credible two-sided marketplace that homeowners would trust for real jobs and that tradies would actually use day-to-day — starting with a clear pre-registration journey and a structured commercial workflow, without overpromising on features that were not yet ready.
Designed and built separate homeowner and trade account journeys from the ground up: registration, identity and licence verification, profile completeness signals, job creation and description, quote request and response flow, booking confirmation and the surrounding dashboard and notification structure. The pre-registration experience was built to validate market interest before full onboarding and payment infrastructure were in place. Each side of the marketplace got its own entry point, navigation and action hierarchy so neither audience had to navigate through the other's workflow.
A live public web platform with an active pre-registration journey. Mobile app delivery and the full onboarding and payment paths are next-stage work. This case study presents the current platform proof without overstating launch maturity.
Homeowners and tradies have different motivations and different information needs. Book a Tradie separates the account structure, onboarding and primary actions so each side moves through a workflow built around their own goals.
Licence verification and profile completeness signals are surfaced to homeowners before they commit to a quote request, so the platform earns trust through evidence rather than badges.
Homeowners describe the job in plain language and receive structured quote responses. The workflow keeps the job scope, trade profile and commercial response together so neither party loses context.
The web platform and pre-registration journey are running. Mobile delivery and the final onboarding and payment paths are staged as the next phase of delivery.
